Quick Update- Secure Delivery supports Free Products

One of our most common requests at the ole’ Secure Delivery help desk is for the ability to set up free products.

Ok, we listened.

We just published this feature to the live server- You can now set up products with “Free” as the payment processor. Your visitors who click on the link will be taken immediately to the download screen without any payment.

An example free product “buy button” is displayed below:

Buy Now!

Yes, you can click it. It’s free.

This feature was added for those who like to send free products, updates, patches, etc. to their email lists, previous buyers, or their Mom.

  1. Hey Jason, that’s a great addition. It was only a couple of weeks back I was adding a free product and wondering if it was possible! Nice work :)

  2. Yep, real nice addition. Makes it easy to have a free XYZ, with a upsell “thank you”…

    Good work!

  3. I can see this doing one of two things for your business:

    1) Bring lots of new customers, who eventually upgrade to paid services, or….

    2) You get a bazillion signups who use the service to give away free stuff, and this brings your server to its knees.

    Let’s hope it’s #1 hey? :-)

  4. Stu- Thats why its a paid account only feature. a bazillion paid signups giving away free stuff is still 10 bazillion dollars, and we can buy more servers if we need to :)

  5. Exactly how many servers would one be able to purchase with ten bazillion dollars? ;-)

  6. I’d have to confirm with my business partner on the technical details, but I’m sure it would be somewhere in the “shitload” range :)

  7. I have thre free product too. Very great work. Rael nice addition :)
    Go on
